The house has a main central heating system powered by oil , however we also have an open fire in the living room we burn virtually all wood on this as it is very plentiful through fallen trees/branches and the debris that floats down the river.

This is collected, sawn up and put in the wood stores.

We are going to put a wood burning stove to replace the firegrate. In part of the alterations we are using a large piece of timber that has come down the river.
