THE POND DIP

After a few words of guidance from Simon Wood the dip begins.

Please remember ponds can be dangerous places for young children.If you would like to go pond dipping always make sure you have an adult with you.

 

First into the fray, Simon (Smallwood) and Rebecca, As Simon prepares to put his find into the special trays, Rebecca examines her net for signs of life.

Here, Youngest team member 3 years old James, examines his first catch with the help of Sarah.

 

The third team consisted of Hannah and Nathan, Seen here hunting newts.

Having spent an hour or so carefully dipping the pond under the expert guidance from Simon, It is time to examine the finds.

The trays and bowls into which the various finds were placed are gathered together and sorted into similar groups.
