HAWTHORNS SCHOOL
Home page

This is probably the last trip of this year, as the weather would get the better of us now until spring.
Mr Jubb one of their teachers contacted us after he met me at a seminar for teachers organised by the NFU education department (see our links page).

The children had not been told much about our visit due to the threat of cancellation due to the weather, as it was although the wind was rather cold the rain kept off.

Pictured here are some of the children stroking Belinda the Bantam hen

Question of the day went to the boy who spotted my broken tooth and asked how it happened and the class seemed fascinated by my encounter with the cow's hoof that broke it.

The right hand picture includes one of the Teachers (on the left) who wanted me to leave the pig, as she liked it so much.

Thanks to Hawthorns for your hospitality (those cups of tea were VERY welcome) and to any other teachers reading this remember this is what the NFU trailer is for see the contacts page to book for next year.
