Farming Woman of the YearBesides myself Cheshire produced 2 other winners the Farming woman of the year Julie Egglestone from W Nixon & Sons Ltd, Heald Green, Cheadle.

Julie plans a strategic part in the W Nixon partnership by running the farm shop. Farm Shop boosts a wide range of specialities : pork/cumberland sausages/beef/lamb/marinated meat cuts/savoury pies. In the summer the farm shop focuses on speciality BBQ foods.

Great British Food AwardAlso the Great British Food Award this was won by The Allwood family who have farmed at Burland Farm since 1768. Burland Farm is an organic farm right in the heart of Cheshire.

Ravens Oak Diary started in June 1999 and produces a range of soft cheeses from organic milk produced on-farm and from goat, buffalo and sheeps milk purchased from local farmers.

The awards were presented by the Principal of Harper Adams Agricultural collage Professor Wynne Jones pictured on the left of the Photos and on the right is incoming Cheshire County Chairmen Chris Shaw.
